Dr. Harald Ott, Principal Investigator at the Ott Lab for organ engineering and regeneration, at Mass General Hospital holds a de-celled human heart, which, theoretically would be re-celled with a donee's own cells causing the organ to take on the recipient's DNA and cellular makeup leading to a reduction in rejection upon transplantation.
